As soon as I started planning caneat I knew that I wanted to offer a whole host of delicious baked treats. Big scones, fancy cakes and tea loaves like I had at Nanny Peg's house when I was little. As we approach our first birthday, I thought it would be a great time to celebrate what a ruddy good job my best buddy Jodie has done in offering all our customers just that. From flower topped show stoppers to chewy brownies, I'm really proud that we offer some of the best cakes in the city. As well as our garden project, we hope to rejuvenate one of our prep areas to create a cracking little bakery that will allow us to bake even more sweet treats and hopefully a few wedding and celebration cakes too. So while we wait for the official launch of cancake, lets raise a cup of tea in the air for Jodie and all those smashing cakes....

Natural Wine & Wood roast Chickens

To end a week of events, on Friday 20th April we are going to throw a chicken party. This is the prototype for how we would like to see evenings run if we manage to get a permanent license. Sam from Wine Freedom will be pouring a small amount of wines by the glass and a larger range of bottle to take away. His wine shop will open at 1pm and we have the Chickens off the grills and rested by 5pm. Chickens will be available as whole or halves with a choice of sauces and sides.  As plenty of people have suggested, we have clearly copied Nando's but with better wine. I'm ok with that.
